It is my privilege to have been ask to give a reference for Bro. and Mrs. Leo Paine.
I have known the Paine’s since the early eighties, having them as mission students in my class at Fellowship Baptist College in Peoria, IL. This developed into a long lasting friendship as I have preached in their church in Seward, NE through the years. They have been so gracious to work with me the last couple of years in getting Care Baptist Missions started and ministering for the last 2 ½ years across America. We have had the good counsel of Brother Paine on several occasions and Sister Cathy has been so important in helping us with the office, computer, and clerical work. They have been proven to be outstanding Christians in their personal lives and workers in and through their local church with their many outreaches. Brother Paine when preaching the Word of God has such a tender heart, love and sincere concern for the people. He has had some physical difficulties a couple of years ago with his hip, but seems to have come to the place in healing to enter back into the ministry on a regular basis, for which we praise the Lord.
It is certain that they are excited about entering into this new ministry of, Standing In The Gap, to help and to fill in for missionaries wherever they might be needed. They are certainly familiar in the operations and expectations in the needs of that area as well as the difficulities that go along with travel required in this kind of ministry.
