Helping the missionaries

We will be 'Standing In The Gap" in early summer for
missionaries Jon and Emilie Rettig
in Prague, Czech Republic!
Please pray that all their needs will be
met as they go on furlough.

THEN...from Prague to
Arnherm, Holland.

We are looking forward to 'standing in the gap' in
my birthplace - the Netherlands for 8 weeks!!!

Please pray for the Spoelstra's that
their furlough will be
fruitful for raising more support
so that they can continue their
faithful work for the souls of Dutch people.

***********************
In the meantime, please pray that
we will raise the support we need
for these two trips.

Faithful Pastor

30 YEARS in the ministry - a real milestone! Sunday we were at church in Harrison ,TN, where Pastor David Bragg and his wife were honored for 30 years of faithful ministry! This church loves their pastor and it was evident throughout the service. It was a real blessing to be in attendance!

On another note...

Often times we don't understand why things happen the way that they do but we know that our LORD is in control of the events in our life and that we can trust HIM with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding.

The Cross

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him
endured the cross,
despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of God."

Rain

Trip

Our trip to Illinois was great, fellowship sweet. Services at Faith Baptist Temple were tremendous. There were at least 100 people there, I sat next to Alice, she lives in Eureka and she told me she plans to return to the church. We will be praying for the Barr's as they minister to the people of Eureka, Illinois.

Our time at Averyville BC was wonderful. We had the opportunity to visit with Mrs. Skerrye and she is looking great. She is such a prayer warrior! There were people at the pm service that were there when we went to college - faithful people. ABC put us up in there prophet chamber and it was very relaxing.

Please continue to pray regarding our car. The part Leo installed before the trip did not take care of the stalling problem and we are now at 197,000 miles. We are not sure what the next step will be, we learned about a mechanic that Erich has used in the past and Leo plans to give him a call and see if we can resolve this problem.

To Illinois!

Early tomorrow morning (Saturday) we are headed to East Peoria and Eureka, Illinois. Stephen, Sarah, and daughter Maddie are having their first church service in Eureka and we will be attending the morning service. We wouldl like to be an encouragment and blessing to them. We met the Barr's for the first time at our missions conference in January. We will be at Averyville Baptist Church in East Peoria for the evening service. ABC is our college church and we always love going back there.  Pastor Coyle and his wife, Brenda, are always so gracious and encouraging to us.

Please pray for safety (1,225 RT) and that our vehicle will do well. Leo put a new part on yesterday and we pray it will take care of the stalling issues and improve the gas mileage. When we return we will be setting up a time to present "Standing In The Gap" at a church here in Chattanooga.

"Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you."
I Thessalonians 5:16-18  KJV

Please pray for the missionaries that are in areas of political unrest!!
