Pentagon

The Pentagon January 2008.jpg
We had a private tour of the Pentagon.
It was amazing, thank you Jason!
We stood at the place where the plane came through the
building - it was a heart stirring moment.
This building is huge, besides office space it
includes many small
stores and restaurants!
As you can well imagine security is extremely tight.

Bethel BC

Brenda Moody spoke to the ladies at Bethel Baptist Church during the mission conference ladies luncheon and she used this quote in her lesson "Living in Peace with an Upside Down World."

"If God subtracted one pain, one heartache, one disappointment from my life I would be less than the person I am now, less the person God wants me to be, and my ministry would be less than He intends."

Back Home!

We returned last evening around 9:15 pm from La Plata, Maryland where we attended a mission conference at Bethel Baptist Church, Pastor Billy Sutton. They were such a tremendous blessing to us, the people are very friendly and kind.  We had wonderful meals, great fellowship and we made some new friend! The primary speaker was Pastor Randall Moody of Battlefield, Missouri but Leo presented "Standing In The Gap" and he preached Friday evening!  Sunday we finished out the day with a meal and an early afternoon service. We rested for a few hours and we all drove to Deale, Maryland, Bro. Moody preached but Leo had another opportunity to present "Standing in the Gap" to the people of First Baptist Church. We praise the LORD for HIS goodness to us.

We went into Washington DC several times and we went to the top of Washington Monument, saw the White House, Vietnam Wall, Arlington Cemetery where we saw the changing of the guards and had a private tour of the Pentagon.  All in all it was amazing!

Thank You Bro. Sutton, Mrs. Sutton and Bethel Baptist Church!

Mother's Dat 2011

Tomorrow is Mother's Day! My mother was called 'home' in 2005 but hardly a day goes by that I do not think of her.

Please remember the missionaries on the field that will not be with there mom tomorrow.

Support

Leo has many phone calls to make today to see if we can get some commitments for more support!  It is difficult in times like these but we know it is the LORD's will.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6
